Talking about typical Italian food, maybe what you have in mind is spaghetti and pizza. True, these two foods originate from Italy, but apart from these two foods, Italy has many types of typical food, most of which are made from the main ingredients of bread, pasta and meat.

1. Arancini

The difference between chicken parmigiana and chicken cordon bleu is the placement of the cheese, if in chicken cordon the cheese is put inside the chicken, in chicken parmigiana the cheese is placed on top of the chicken.

3. Bruschetta

The way to prepare it is that the bread is cut diagonally and then seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and pepper then baked until the texture is crispy and brownish in color. After baking, the bread is served with sliced tomatoes, onions, cheese and other vegetables.

4. Cannoli

Cannoli is a typical cake from the Tower of Pisa which is shaped like a tube. This snack is made from a dough of flour, eggs and salt that is fried and then filled with sweet cream consisting of ricotta or mascarpone cheese and sprinkled with cocoa powder, pistachio nuts, and rose water.

5. Caponata

Caponata is a food that originates from the region of Sicily, Italy, where food in that area is heavily influenced by cultures from Arab, Greek and Roman countries. This makes Sicily has a very diverse typical food.
